Jaime has a good friend, Eric, who visits him every Saturday when Eric’s mother comes to wash clothes for Jaime’s family. Jaime and Eric play marbles and habulan together, sing songs, and share what they have with each other. One stormy night, the creek beside Eric’s small wooden house overflows and rises into a raging flood. This bittersweet story speaks of kindness, loss, and the triumph of hope.
